Who are we?
EnCounterCulture Learning is a resource center, committed to shifting the culture of education. It houses The Village which is an online and in person learning community for homeschooling families who value a lifestyle of learning based in the rhythms of celebration and rest. Within The Village, learning is guided by Identity Based Learning (IBL), a comprehensive , learner-directed curriculum for all ages. It focuses on the discovery and growth of the unique identity and purpose of each individual.
What is The Village?
Homeschooling can be a challenging and lonely road if we go it alone. The Village is designed to care for and meet the needs of the whole child, in the context of family, through community, curriculum, and connection.

Since we believe family is the foundation of strong culture and learning, The Village is central to all we do. Shaping our rhythm and flow to a Hebrew inspired mindset, we celebrate family, learning, and the seasons of life together!
What is Identity Based Learning?
Housed within The Village is our learning program, Identity Based Learning (IBL). Learning becomes powerful when it draws family and community together in like-hearted values and supports learning as a lifestyle. And because the parent is a child’s first and most important teacher, the IBL framework supports parents in discovering and nurturing Identity & Purpose in their children from birth through young adult.
